Our Guiding Operating Principles
1. Community-Led Co-Creation
We do not impose top-down solutions. Every field programme is co-designed and executed with local village elders and youth leaders.
2. Science & Traditional Wisdom
Integrating centuries of indigenous customary knowledge with modern GPS GIS mapping, drone surveillance, and university research.
3. Self-Reliance & Dignity
Establishing circular economic models—such as native stingless beekeeping and ethical crafts—that create sustained financial sovereignty.
4. Transparent Governance
Full compliance with Malaysian ROS regulations. Every ringgit of donor funding is audited, tracked, and channeled into field outcomes.
Field Leadership & Board of Trustees
Persatuan Aspirasi Lestari is steered by an independent Board of Trustees and operated by an interdisciplinary executive team combining expertise in tropical forestry, community social work, legal rights, and environmental education.
We operate out of field offices in Kuala Lumpur and Sabah, working directly side-by-side with indigenous village councils (MPKK).
